Job Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions from healthcare providers.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and health management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapies.
- Monitor patient health outcomes and adjust medication plans as necessary.
- Conduct health screenings and immunizations as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medications dispensed and patient interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practices.
- Assist in the management of pharmacy operations, including inventory control and staff training.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and participate in continuous education.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, pharmacology, and medication therapy management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Desired Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Experience in a clinical or community pharmacy role is preferred.
- Proficient in handling various pharmaceutical software and technology.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: Annual salary ranging from $74,000 to $95,000 AUD.
