Optometrist

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct eye examinations to assess vision and identify any underlying conditions.
• Prescribe and fit eyeglasses or contact lenses based on patients' visual needs.
• Provide advice on proper eye care and recommend treatment plans for vision problems.
• Detect and diagnose eye diseases, such as glaucoma or cataracts, and refer patients to specialists when needed.
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure accurate documentation of eye exam results.
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.

Essential Qualifications:

• Recent full-time experience in this line of work. (presently employed)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Desired Experience:

• Previous experience working as an Optometrist for up to 5 years.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: $74,000 – $98,000 annually.

Note: Other clients with workplaces in regional Australia potentially available.

Visa:

• Sponsored working visa class 482
• 2 year visa, extendable.
• Optometrist 251411 MLTSSL

Future Benefits:

English level needed:

• An IELTS score of 6,6,6,6 + or equivalent in PTE, OET.

Certificates needed:

• An OCANZ certificate.
• From The Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand (OCANZ)

Future requirements:

• After a pre-screening interview, If we are interested in connecting you to a client for a work-place interview, then we would first need:
  • Proof of Employment.
  • Passport copy, Showing 1 year + validity
  • Police clearance

Financial requirements:

• There ​​​​​​​is NO show-money needed to be seen by immigration when applying for a working visa to Australia.

Personal requirements:

• Happy, confident, outgoing.
