 Overhead Linesman

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain overhead power lines and related equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues with the power lines.
  • Work with a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the power lines.
  • Respond to service calls and emergencies to troubleshoot and resolve power line issues.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recent full-time experience in this line of work. (presently employed)
  • Valid certification as an Overhead Linesman.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and power line equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Overhead Linesman.
  • Proven track record of successful power line installations and maintenance.
  • Experience in responding to and resolving power line emergencies.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $74,000 – $85,000 annually.
  • Full-time position.

Note: Other clients with workplaces in regional Australia potentially available.

Visa:

  • Sponsored working visa class 482
  • 2 year visa, extendable.
  • Electrical Linesworker 342211 ROL

Future Benefits:

  • Subsequent entrant visa for family. (after 6 months work)
  • A pathway to PR. Permanent Residency. (Depending on age and English level)

English level needed:

  • An IELTS score of 5,5,5,5 + or equivalent in PTE, OET.

Certificates needed:

  • A TRA Skills-Assessment certificate will be needed.
  • Skills Assessment authority for Linesworkers is Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) (We can assist with this if needed.)

Future requirements:

  • After a pre-screening interview, If we are interested in connecting you to a client for a work-place interview, then we would first need:
    • Proof of Employment
    • Video’s showing skill-set/work . (in a google-drive shared folder)
    • Passport copy, Showing 1 year + validity
    • Police clearance

Financial requirements:

  • There ​​​​​​​is NO show-money needed to be seen by immigration when applying for a working visa to Australia.

Personal requirements:

  • Happy, confident, outgoing.
